Supplier Quality Inspector -

Two wheeler with a valid driving license mandatory for local travel / vendor visits.

- Daily Food Allowance Rs.100/-
- Two wheeler travel allowance as per policy - Rs.5/- per k.m

Role Summary :

The Onsite Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional checks and visual inspections of the finished components (including RC) at supplier premises to ensure they meet the required specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The role ensures that only conforming parts are supplied to the manufacturing plants for direct assembly.

Qualifications Required:

- Diploma/Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or related field.
- Min. 2Years experience in dimensional and visual inspection of mechanical components.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge for the GD&T; Symbols and inspection methods
- Must have the knowledge to select and use appropriate instruments and gauges against the drawing dimensions and tolerances
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Key roles :

- Verify component dimensions against engineering drawings, matrix, and standards.
- Record inspection results accurately in inspection reports and approve the inspection lot




- Identify deviations or out-of-tolerance conditions and escalate for corrective action.
- Ensure the visual requirements are met as per the acceptance criteria.

Basic Requirements for the Onsite Inspectors mentioned as below:

1. Drawing Reading :

- Quality inspectors must having the skills to read the drawing properly
- Dimensions and tolerances, GD & T Dimensions, Material Grades, Standard references, Revisions.

- Perform measurement of components using tools such as:

- Vernier calipers, Micro meters, Height gauges, Bore gauges, indicators, Attribute gauges (thread gauges, Plug and ring gauges, feeler gauges, functional gauges etc...)
- Coordinate Measuring Machine ( additional advantage)

- Conduct visual examination of components for defects such as:

- Surface finish issues, Scratches, Dents, cracks, Coating/painting irregularities, Burrs and sharp edges, Welding defects (additional advantage),Inspection records with necessary information's, Prepare and submit daily/weekly inspection reports. Update non-conformance reports (NCR) when defects are identified.

Work Environment

- Onsite role at supplier location.
