Assistant Manager – Legal & Compliance Location - CST, Mumbai
Caresmith is a fast-growing D2C personal care appliances brand focused on upgrading everyday health routines across oral care, grooming, recovery, and relaxation. With a robust presence across Amazon, Flipkart, and its own website, The company operates a fully integrated, in-house model covering sourcing, imports, assembly, and distribution.

This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of legal and compliance across the organization. You will act as a business enabler and risk controller, ensuring that all functions operate within regulatory frameworks while supporting growth.

Compliance Ownership
Own and manage a centralized compliance tracker across all functions
Legal Metrology (packaging, labeling, website, cartons)
HR compliances (Shops & Establishment, PF, ESIC, PT, POSH)
Secretarial compliances (MCA filings, board-related requirements)
GST and taxation regulations
Marketing and advertising compliance (Meta, Amazon, website claims)
Conduct regular compliance audits, identify gaps, and drive complete closure
Proactively highlight risk areas and non-compliance issues to leadership
IP & Brand Protection
Lead trademark filings,



renewals, oppositions, and enforcement action
Monitor and act against IP infringements across marketplaces and digital platforms
Develop and strengthen long-term IP strategy aligned with brand growth

Customs & Import Compliance
Oversee compliance under the Customs Act for all imports
Smooth customs clearance processes
Track and drive resolution of ongoing legal/customs cases
Stay updated with regulatory changes, certifications, and notifications
Risk Mitigation
Identify legal and regulatory risks across operations
Legal Contracts & Advisory
Provide timely legal advice (within defined TATs) to internal stakeholders
Networks & Technology
Build and manage a network of external legal experts and consultants
Implement legal tech/tools to improve tracking and efficiency

LLB/LLM
~4–7 years of experience in legal & compliance roles
~ Zero compliance breaches and strong audit readiness
Complete visibility and closure of compliance gaps
Strong legal advisory with quick turnaround
Smooth handling of customs and regulatory matters
