Position- General Manager- Purchase

Ensure all the raw materials, chemicals, consumables and other supplies are made available timely for Manufacturing operation of PVC resins, PVC pipes and fittings.
Ensure timely procurement of engineering spares and other parts for the smooth functioning of the plants.
Analyze market condition, price volatility and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and create procurement plans
Develop alternate suppliers based on suitable evaluation for procurement of materials in collaboration with Quality Control and Production team.
Review performance of suppliers; Initiate corrective action plan for suppliers and monitor progress Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers Monitor performance of the reporting team and provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates.
Drive improvement initiatives and play a significant role in faster growth of FIL





Coordinate and oversee the procurement of raw materials to meet production volumes across all plants of the organization.
Coordinate and ensure that engineering spares and consumables are available to meet maintenance and engineering requirements across all the resin and pipe plants of the organization.
Monitor inventory levels in accordance with production plans, market forecast, yard  and inventory plans.
Negotiate and propose annual rate contracts
Verify share of business allocation to suppliers and create supplier rationalization plan
Plan and monitor implementation of alternate sourcing for critical components as a result of supplier assessments
Provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates
Oversee development and performance of functional staff, as per departmental budgets.
