Job Description: An Instrument Engineer in a steel manufacturing plant designs, calibrates, and maintains the industrial automation and control systems that monitor parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow. - Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting on sensors, actuators, transmitters, and control valves to minimize plant downtime. [1, 2]
- Automation Management: Oversee and program control systems such as DCS, PLC, and SCADA to integrate processes seamlessly. [1, 2]
- Heavy Environment Optimization: Select and protect robust instrumentation (e.g., thermal and gas analyzers) capable of withstanding the abrasive, high-heat conditions of an integrated steel plant. [1]
- Safety & Compliance:



Ensure all devices and control systems strictly adhere to industrial safety and health regulations. [1]
- Project Execution: Prepare instrument indexes, data sheets, and wiring schedules while supervising equipment installation and commissioning. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven experience with steel manufacturing processes (e.g., sinter plants, blast furnaces, and casters).
