Role Summary
We are looking for a Solution Architect to support the design, implementation, integration, and scaling of a human-verified AI patient engagement platform built for premium ophthalmology practices.
The role will act as a bridge between business teams, product teams, engineering, IT, customer success, and external clinic partners. The Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding clinic workflows, defining technical solution designs, supporting integrations, ensuring secure and scalable implementation,
and helping convert business requirements into practical technology solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of SaaS platforms, healthcare workflows, AI-enabled products, API integrations, data security, and enterprise IT governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Architecture
- Design scalable, secure, and clinic-ready solution architectures for VisioGen implementations.
- Convert business and customer requirements into transparent technical solution designs.
- Define end-to-end workflows covering chatbot interface, AI response generation, human review, clinic escalation, reporting, and system integration.
- Ensure the platform architecture supports reliability, performance, security, and future scalability.
2. Customer & Clinic Implementation Support
- Work with US ophthalmology clinics to understand their website, patient inquiry flow, appointment booking process, CRM usage, and operational workflow.
- Identify how VisioGen can be embedded into each clinic's digital ecosystem.
- Support technical discovery calls with customers, partners, and vendors.
- Prepare implementation documents, integration notes, workflow maps, and technical requirement documents.
3. Integration & API Management
- Evaluate and design integrations with clinic websites, CRMs, scheduling tools, marketing platforms, analytics tools, and communication systems.
- Work with APIs, webhooks, data exchange formats, and middleware platforms such as Zapier, HubSpot, or similar systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external development teams to ensure integrations are delivered correctly.
- Troubleshoot integration gaps and recommend practical workarounds where needed.
4. Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all solution designs follow healthcare data privacy,
security, and compliance expectations, including HIPAA-aligned workflows where applicable.
- Work closely with ZEISS IT, CIT, InfoSec, and compliance teams for tool approvals and architecture reviews.
- Support risk assessment, data flow documentation, access control planning, and vendor evaluation.
- Ensure AI workflows are designed with appropriate human-in-the-loop review and governance.
5. Product & Platform Enablement
- Partner with product managers to define technical feasibility for new product features.
- Provide architecture inputs for dashboards, analytics, reporting, AI workflows, and clinic-specific customization.
- Identify reusable implementation models that can reduce deployment time across multiple clinics.
- Support creation of internal playbooks, SOPs, technical FAQs, and implementation templates.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, clinical operations, engineering, product, IT, and external clinic stakeholders.
- Support pre-sales conversations by explaining technical capabilities in simple business language.
