Role Description The Strings Teacher will provide online instruction in violin and/or Guitar to students across a range of skill levels, using Gandharva's structured curriculum and digital tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, conducting live remote classes, assessing student progress, and offering constructive feedback to support individual musical journeys. The teacher will collaborate with the school's academic team to refine teaching materials and ensure alignment with Gandharva's educational standards.



Additional tasks may include preparing students for performances or exams and maintaining explicit communication with learners and caregivers. This is a part-time, remote role that requires reliable internet access and the ability to teach across time zones as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in strings performance, with advanced skills in Violin and, Guitar.
- Background in Music Education, including experience teaching individual or group lessons online or in-person.
- Solid understanding of Music theory and practical musicianship to support structured learning.
- Familiarity with Orchestral Music and ensemble playing to guide students in collaborative performance contexts.
- Ability to use digital platforms for remote teaching, including video conferencing and learning management tools.
- Clear, patient, and encouraging communication style suitable for learners of different ages and abilities.
- Formal training in music (diploma, degree, or equivalent certification) preferred.
- Prior experience with curriculum-based teaching or exam preparation (e.g., graded music exams) is an asset.
