Hiring: Medical Imaging Annotation Specialist (Chest X-Ray / Radiology)

We are seeking experienced Medical Imaging Annotation Specialists with strong expertise in Chest Radiography (Chest X-Rays) to support a long-term AI data annotation project focused on medical imaging.

This chance is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in interpreting chest radiographs and identifying radiological findings with a high degree of accuracy.

Role Overview

As a Medical Imaging Annotation Specialist, you will review chest X-ray images and accurately identify predefined radiological findings. Your annotations will contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems used in medical imaging.

This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working with chest radiographs. Familiarity with medical imaging workflows and DICOM files is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

- Review chest X-ray (CXR) images and identify all applicable radiological findings.
- Accurately annotate images according to detailed project guidelines.
- Create structured JSON outputs for each annotated image.
- Ensure annotations are clinically accurate, consistent, and complete.
- Follow quality assurance standards and annotation protocols.
- Work independently while meeting project timelines and quality expectations.
- Participate in pilot evaluations and ongoing quality reviews.

Findings to be Annotated

Candidates should be able to identify one or more of the following findings on chest X-rays:

- Pleural Effusion
- Cardiomegaly
- Atelectasis
- Consolidation




- Edema
- Emphysema
- Fibrosis
- Hernia
- Infiltration
- Mass
- Nodule
- Pleural Thickening
- Pneumothorax

Each image may contain none, one, or multiple findings.

Required Qualifications

- Medical degree or equivalent healthcare qualification with relevant radiology experience.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting Chest X-Ray (CXR) images.
- Experience in radiology reporting, medical imaging analysis, or medical image annotation.
- Strong understanding of thoracic anatomy and common chest pathologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality annotation.
- Ability to follow structured annotation guidelines and deliver consistent outputs.
- Strong written English communication skills.

Pilot Evaluation

As part of the evaluation process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a five-image pilot assessment.

The pilot consists of reviewing five chest X-ray PNG images, identifying all applicable findings, and submitting one JSON file for each image based on the provided annotation guidelines.

- The pilot is conducted solely for quality evaluation.
- The pilot is unpaid.
- Detailed annotation guidelines and output specifications will be shared with shortlisted candidates before the assessment.

Long-Term Engagement

Candidates who successfully complete the pilot and meet the required quality standards will be considered for the long-term project.
