Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Facade Designer role based in Mumbai. The Facade Designer will develop detailed facade design concepts and solutions for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, ensuring alignment with architectural intent, performance requirements, and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating cladding and glazing details, and collaborating with project managers, structural engineers, and fabrication teams to resolve technical issues. The role involves performing design calculations, material selection, and constructability reviews,



as well as providing design support during manufacturing and installation phases. The Facade Designer will also participate in design meetings, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and best practices.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Facade and Facade Design for complex building envelopes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cladding and Glazing, including detailing and material selection.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Shop Drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in CAD and relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino or similar facade/3D tools).
- Good understanding of structural behavior, building physics, and performance criteria for facades.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations for facade systems.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Prior experience in facade or curtain wall design with fabrication or construction companies is an advantage.
