Role: SQL Server DBA

Experience: 5-9 Years

Key Technical Requirements

- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server and associated data platform technologies, tools, methodologies, and operational processes.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query development, optimization, and troubleshooting across large-scale datasets.
- Experience with SQL Server platform activities including cluster management, notebook development, job orchestration, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience in performance tuning, including query optimization, partitioning, indexing strategies, and workload management.
- Hands-on experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT processing, preferably using SSIS or equivalent technologies.
- Valuable understanding of data pipeline design, ingestion, transformation,



and integration across cloud-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of security and data governance, including RBAC, data masking, encryption, and compliance practices.
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting data workloads with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Experience in data migration and modernization, particularly migration of workloads from on-premises systems to cloud platforms.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive data pipelines while maintaining data quality and timely delivery.
- Experience in automation and operational/process improvements using cloud-native practices.
- Understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and release management across environments.
