Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineers building Bytebeam's reusable platform applications. The team spans data-heavy web experiences, mobile surfaces, backend-for-frontend services, and the shared components used across Suprnova and Suprsight programs. You will own people development, application architecture, delivery, and the quality of the user experience in production.

What You'll Do

- Lead and grow frontend, mobile, and application-backend engineers.
- Own application architecture across React/TypeScript, Flutter, API integration, state management, and shared design-system components.
- Deliver responsive workflows for dashboards, device management, alerts, actions, diagnostics, and high-volume data exploration.
- Create reusable primitives that can support OEM-specific needs without forking the product for every program.
- Partner with product, design, QA, forward-deployed, backend, and platform teams from discovery through rollout.
- Establish measurable standards for performance, accessibility, automated testing, observability, and release quality.
- Improve planning, code review,



technical design, incident learning, and engineer growth.
- Remain technically engaged in complex cross-stack decisions and production debugging.

Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience managing or directly leading an application engineering team.
- Strong experience shipping production web applications with React and TypeScript or an equivalent contemporary stack.
- Sound understanding of API design, authentication, permissions, state management, testing, and frontend performance.
- Experience leading products that present complex or real-time data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to coach engineers, set technical direction, and deliver across team boundaries.
- Strong product sense and written communication.

Good-to-Have
- Experience with Flutter or native mobile development.
- Familiarity with fleet management, telematics, IoT, observability, analytics, or enterprise operational tools.
- Experience with design systems, visualisation libraries, offline/poor-network behavior, or multi-tenant SaaS.

What Success Looks Like
- The team ships a consistent, fast, well-tested application platform; engineers have clear ownership and growth paths; and new OEM or fleet workflows can be delivered by extending shared foundations instead of rebuilding them.
