Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Admissions Counsellor to join our team in Hyderabad. This is a key role combining student counselling with university relationship management and business development. The successful candidate will guide students through the admissions process, establish institutional partnerships, and contribute directly to the organisation's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents on higher-education opportunities in India and abroad, advising on suitable universities, courses, and career pathways
- Manage the complete admissions process — from initial enquiry through documentation, application submission, and offer
- Respond to enquiries across phone, WhatsApp, email, social media, and walk-ins, and convert them into confirmed admissions
- Approach universities and admission partners to establish relationships and formalise MOUs and aggregator partnerships
- Represent EduGateGulf at education fairs, seminars, webinars, and promotional events
- Support business development, digital marketing, and lead-generation activities




- Maintain accurate student records and pipeline data within the CRM
- Achieve monthly counselling, conversion, and admission targets

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in study-abroad and Indian university admissions
- Excellent English communication skills
- Solid counselling, sales, and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of admission procedures, visa processes, and higher-education systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
- A proactive, self-motivated approach suited to a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

Preferred Experience

Counselling for MBBS, Engineering, Management, and other professional courses in India, and for study destinations including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Malaysia. Experience arranging university MOUs or working with aggregator platforms is a strong advantage.
