Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer / Programmer with strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL to join our development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend applications and systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend development concepts, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and development. The candidate will work closely with the front-end development team and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth integration and performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

● Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and systems using PHP and MySQL.

● Build reliable, efficient, and scalable backend solutions according to project requirements.

● Implement server-side logic and ensure the smooth functioning of backend processes.

● Write well-structured, clean, efficient and maintainable code.

Database Management

● Work with MySQL databases to develop and manage data-driven applications.

● Create and optimize database queries to ensure efficient application performance.

● Maintain data integrity and support the effective functioning of backend systems.

Application Maintenance & Troubleshooting

● Identify, analyse, debug, and resolve technical issues in applications.

● Troubleshoot backend-related problems and implement appropriate solutions.

● Monitor application performance and contribute to system optimization.





● Ensure that applications remain stable, reliable, and efficient.

Front-End & Backend Integration

● Collaborate closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

● Ensure effective communication between front-end interfaces and backend systems.

● Support the development of seamless and functional application experiences.

Problem-Solving & Technical Contribution

● Analyse technical requirements and identify suitable solutions.

● Apply logical reasoning and analytical skills to solve complex programming challenges.

● Participate in brainstorming and technical discussions.

● Contribute innovative ideas and suggestions to improve project outcomes and development processes.

Team Collaboration

● Work effectively as part of a collaborative and team-oriented development environment.

● Coordinate with team members to achieve project objectives.

Project & Deadline Management

● Manage assigned development tasks effectively and complete them within the specified timelines.

Core Technical Skills

● Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical implementation.

● Expertise in database schema design, normalization, and efficient database architecture.

● Thorough knowledge of software engineering principles, coding standards, and programming best practices.





● Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining large-scale business or enterprise applications, beyond small standalone projects.

● Demonstrates high discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

Essential Skills

● Strong knowledge of PHP and backend development.

● Good understanding of MySQL and database management.

● Ability to write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

● Understanding of backend application development and server-side programming.

● Ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues.

Eligibility

● / BE/ ./ME in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.

● Candidates with up to 3-5 years of relevant experience in backend development are encouraged to apply.
