Job Description

Product Marketing Manager — Website Content& AEO

BrightEdge | Marketing | India (Remote)

About the role

BrightEdge is the enterprise platform for Google search and AI search visibility. As AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity change how buyers find information, our website content is the single most visible proof that we know how to win in this new landscape. It has to rank, answer the question, and get cited by the engines themselves. Almost nobody in the market has worked out how to do all three.

You own the engine that proves it. You will write, publish, and optimize the pages that enterprise buyers land on — product pages, solution pages, AEO-structured content, and the blog — and you will ensure every piece is built to win in both Google and AI search.

You will work directly with the Senior Manager of Marketing on positioning and messaging, take briefs from across the team, and ship finished assets without editorial handholding. This is a function to run, not a checklist to execute. You get the mandate, the platform, and the air cover, and your work is visible to the executive team from month one.

What you own

Website content

- Own the content roadmap for brightedge.com — product pages, solution pages, use case pages, and the resource library.
- Write new pages from positioning briefs. Edit existing pages to match current messaging. Ship without waiting to be chased.
- Coordinate with web and design to get pages live. Own the copy; manage the workflow.
- Throughput expectation: 2 to 3 pages published per week at steady state, new or substantially rewritten. AI tools are available and expected to be used as a drafting assist. Volume does not excuse thin pages — every page still has to rank, answer, and earn citations.

AEO implementation

- Audit existing pages for AEO readiness — structured definitions, answer-optimized headings, FAQ schema, entity coverage.
- Rewrite and restructure pages so BrightEdge earns citations in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI engines.
- Track citation performance using BrightEdge's own platform. Report progress smoothly.

Organic content and SEO

- Execute the blog content calendar — write or brief 2–3 posts per month targeting high-intent SEO and AEO keywords.
- Ensure all content meets on-page SEO requirements: keyword placement, meta copy, internal linking, schema.

- Work with the SEO lead on keyword priorities and content gap analysis.
- Report monthly on organic contribution to pipeline. Own the number in marketing reviews.

Positioning, competitive intelligence and enablement

- Produce sales enablement assets: one-pagers, battle cards, competitive comparison sheets. Take the brief; deliver the asset.
- Build the content that ABM runs on — account and industry-specific landing pages, one-pagers, and email copy for named target accounts. Work off the target accountlist with sales, and tailor to the account's category, competitive set, and buying context. Swapping in a logo is not personalisation.
- Write case study copy from interview notes or transcripts. Own the editing and final production.
- Support the Senior Manager of Marketing on product positioning projects — draft messaging frameworks, slide copy, and external-facing content.
- Own competitive intelligence for the categories we compete in — track competitor messaging, claims, and AI-search visibility, and keep battle cards current instead of one-off.
- Bring the voice of the buyerin. Sit in on sales calls, read win/loss notes, and let what you hear shape the messaging rather than guessing at it.
- Carry the content side of product launches and webinars — launch pages, messaging, enablement packs, announcement content, plus webinar abstracts, promotion and registration copy, slide narrative, and follow-up. Keep all of it current as the product moves.

Contribute the content, competitive, and search picture to the monthly PMM cadence with product, customer success, and the field. Bring what you are seeing;take back roadmap changes, customer signals, and deal blockers, and turn them into the next month's content plan.

Email and newsletters

- Runthe prospect and customer newsletters end to end — calendar, copy, subject lines, and performance.
- Write the nurture and campaign email copy that carries your content, so every page and post has a distribution path instead of sitting on the site waiting to be found.

What we are looking for

Non-negotiable

- 2–4years in B2B SaaS product marketing or content marketing, ideally both. This is a hybrid role by design: you own the positioning and competitive thinking, and you write the assets that carry it. Bring a portfolio of website copy and long-form content you have shipped, and a view on how the products you worked on should have been positioned.
- You understand SEO and product marketing. You know what makes a page rank and you build that in from the start, not as an afterthought.
- You can explain the difference between a page optimized for Google and a page optimized to earn AI citations. Direct AEO experience is a plus, not a requirement — the discipline is new and we will train you.
- Your writing is clean, exact, and requires minimal editing. We will assess this in the interview process.
- You can take a brief, ask the right clarifying questions, and deliver a finished draft, not a working document.
- You bring work to the table that nobody asked for. You spot the page that is underperforming, the competitor claim nobody has answered, the question buyers keep asking that we have not written about — and you propose it before it lands on your list. Come to the interview with an example.

This role is not for you if

- You need daily direction or check-ins to make progress.
- You treat SEO as a checklist you run after writing, not a constraint you build into the brief.
- Your writing needs significant structural editing before it can be published.
- You have worked only in B2C or non-technical product categories.
- You see product marketing and writing as two different jobs. This role is deliberately both — you will do the positioning thinking and then write the page, the post, and the email yourself. If your instinct is to brief the draft out, this is not the role.

A note on AI tools. You will have full access to the BrightEdge platform and to AI writing tools, and we expect you to be fluent with both. Be clear on what that buys you. AI gets you a fast first draft and a lot of competent, forgettable copy. It will not give you the point of view, the customer insight, or the judgement about what is worth writing in the first place. In a category where every competitor now has the same tools, that judgement is the only thing that separates our content from theirs.

That is the part we are hiring for, and it is what we will assess.
