Role Description The Assistant Professor of Public Administration will be responsible for delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Public Administration and related fields, following the curriculum and academic standards of Amity University. Day-to-day activities include preparing course materials, designing assessments, guiding student projects, supervising research, and providing academic advising and mentorship. The role involves engaging in scholarly research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in conferences, and contributing to the development of new academic programs and interdisciplinary initiatives.



The Assistant Professor will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum enhancement, quality assurance, and departmental activities, as well as participate in committee work and student outreach. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Amity University campus in Patna.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic qualifications in Public Administration or a closely related discipline (preferably Ph.D. or Thesis Submitted).
- Demonstrated expertise in key areas of Public Administration such as public policy, governance, administrative theory, public finance, and development administration.
- Evidence of research capability, including publications, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects in Public Administration or allied fields.
- Strong teaching skills, including experience with classroom instruction, curriculum design, student assessment, and use of modern pedagogical and digital learning tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage a diverse student body.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an academic department, contribute to institutional initiatives, and participate in academic and administrative committees.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, ethical academic practices, and fostering inclusive, respectful classroom environments.
- Prior university-level teaching experience and familiarity with Indian higher education regulations and accreditation standards are highly beneficial.
