Role: Unit Financial Controller

Company / Unit: Centre Point Hotels – Amravati

Reporting To: Hotel Unit GM & Group Finance Head / CEO

Team Structure: Leads a unit accounts team of 2-4 persons (Example - Senior Accounts Executive, Accounts Executive — Receivables, Accounts Executive — Payables & Compliance, Cost Controller, Accounts Assistant)

Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com mandatory. MBA Finance / CA Inter / CA Qualified are preferred and will carry additional weightage during evaluation.

Experience

- Minimum 6 years of experience in hotel finance or hospitality accounting at a full-service property. Prior experience as Unit Finance Controller, Finance Manager, Assistant Director of Finance, or Accounts Manager with banquet billing exposure is strongly preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of full-service hotel accounting — rooms, F&B;, banquets, events

- Hands-on PMS (IDS / Opera or equivalent) and POS revenue reconciliation

- Deep knowledge of GST in hospitality — billing, input credit, reconciliation

- Solid command over receivables, payables, and cash/bank control

- Experience in F&B; cost control and food cost analysis

- Ability to own and close the monthly trial balance independently

- Proficiency in Tally ERP and advanced Excel

- Ability to lead a team of 4–5 with clear accountability

- High ownership, discipline, and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Accounts Control

Responsible for the complete accounts function of the hotel, including rooms, F&B; outlet, banquet hall, lawn events, vendor payments, debtor collections, cash/bank control, and statutory compliance.

2. Daily Revenue Review

Review daily revenue reports for rooms, F&B;, banquet, and lawn events. Ensure revenue is correctly posted in the PMS/POS and books of accounts.

3. Billing Review

Check important bills before dispatch, especially corporate bills, banquet bills,



lawn/event bills, credit bills, and high-value guest bills.

4. Cash, Card & UPI Control

Ensure that all cash, card, and UPI collections are reconciled with PMS/POS reports and bank credits on a daily basis.

5. Receivable Supervision

Monitor outstanding receivables from corporate clients, banquet parties, travel agents, OTA settlements, and other credit customers.

6. Payable Supervision

Review vendor bills, payment schedules, pending approvals, GST input, TDS deduction, and vendor ageing before payment processing.

7. Bank Reconciliation Review

Ensure daily or periodic bank reconciliation is completed and all unidentified receipts/payments are cleared.

8. Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate working for GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, professional tax, contractor compliance, and other applicable statutory requirements.

9. Trial Balance Control

Review all ledgers in the Trial Balance, especially debtors, creditors, advances, deposits, statutory ledgers, bank accounts, cash, provisions, and suspense accounts.

10. Monthly Closing

Ensure timely month-end closing including revenue reconciliation, expense booking, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation support, GST/TDS reconciliation, debtor ageing, vendor ageing, and Trial Balance review.

11. MIS & Reporting

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management, including revenue summary, collection report, payment report, debtor ageing, vendor ageing, cash/bank position, and monthly financial summary.

12. Internal Control

Implement checks to avoid revenue leakage, incorrect billing, unapproved discounts, duplicate payments, old advances, uncleared suspense, and unreconciled bank entries.

13. Team Supervision

- Allocate work between the two Accounts Executives, review daily task completion, check pending items, and ensure smooth coordination with Front Office, F&B;, Banquet, Purchase, Stores, HR, and Corporate Finance.
