The Head of Compliance is a critical executive role responsible for ensuring that Spice Money adheres both in letter and spirit to all regulatory directions, directives, and expectations. As Spice Money expands its digital payment rails across rural India,



the HOC acts as the enterprise anchor for regulatory alignment, safeguard of corporate reputation, and positive regulator advocacy. As the primary custodian of regulatory compliance, the HOC provides independent assurance to the Board and drives robust compliance governance across all operations.

Regulatory Oversight & Compliance Framework: Establish, operationalize, and continuously update the company-wide Compliance Management Framework; conduct regular compliance monitoring, testing, and periodic reviews across teams. Ensure total compliance with Master Directions and guidelines issued by key regulatory authorities
● Monitoring & Dissemination: Maintain a hawk's eye on compliance with KYC, AML, PPI Master Directions, and NPCI regulations, ensuring timely dissemination of relevant regulatory guidelines/changes to all employees.
● Regulator Liaison & Advocacy: Lead interactions and coordination with regulators such as RBI, NPCI, FIU, and UIDAI. Engage in positive advocacy on matters impacting Spice Money while fostering constructive regulatory outreach.
● Audits & Inspection Closure: Manage and lead end-to-end management of regulatory inspections, UIDAI audits, RBI System Audits,



and PCOMP portal reporting. Take total ownership for timely remediation and closure of inspection findings, audit observations, and gap assessments.
● Provide independent assurance on regulatory compliance
● Product Advisory & Digital Initiatives Compliance: Act as an embedded compliance advisor to Business, Product, Operations, and Technology teams. Review new fintech offerings, digital lending journeys, PPI innovations, cross-border payments, and strategic partnerships from a regulatory perspective to build compliance-by-design.
● Grievance Redressal, Regulatory Filings & Training: Oversee regulatory reporting systems (such as CIMS portal), ensure strict adherence to customer protection and guidelines, and design mandatory compliance training programs for employees and channel partners.

15+ years of relevant experience in financial regulatory compliance, ideally within fintechs, banks, or fast-paced financial institutions.
● Deep expertise in RBI guidelines, PPI Master Directions, NPCI frameworks, KYC/AML norms, and UIDAI/IRDAI regulatory processes.
● Proven track record of managing direct interactions with key regulatory bodies (RBI, NPCI, FIU, UIDAI).
● Strong stakeholder management skills to partner effectively with Tech, Product, Operations, and Legal teams, translating regulatory mandates into practical operational processes without choking business velocity.
