Job Title: Vice President
Job Description:
The Vice President, Learning & Development will partner closely with HR Business Partners and business leadership to design and deliver high‑impact learning and leadership development solutions that support Blackstone’s talent strategy and growth in India. This role will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of firmwide learning programs, with a primary focus on India‑based professionals and global curriculum ownership.
This role requires strong judgment, stakeholder credibility, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑moving, high‑performance environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as a strategic and consultative partner to HR Business Partners and business leaders on employee development, leadership capability, and engagement needs
- Design, deliver, and continuously refine management, leadership, and professional development programs for Blackstone professionals across levels, with a focus on India
- Own and evolve elements of the global core learning curriculum, including needs assessment, demand management, content quality, and facilitation
- Build, enhance, and deliver high‑profile firmwide programs, including leadership and high‑potential development initiatives
- Support the development and rollout of AI‑enabled and self‑directed learning solutions, including project management and cross‑functional coordination
- Identify, evaluate,
and manage external learning partners and vendors to support program design and delivery
- Build solid working relationships across businesses, regions, and global HR teams to ensure learning solutions are relevant, scalable, and aligned to firm standards
- Analyze and track program effectiveness, participation, and feedback, using insights to continuously improve learning outcomes
- Develop and deliver targeted learning solutions for strategic client groups, including management, communication, and presentation skills
- Advise on and support custom development sessions, including recommendations on content, agendas, and speakers, ensuring consistency with Blackstone’s culture and expectations
- Contribute to firmwide diversity and inclusion initiatives, partnering closely with the broader Talent Development team to deliver impactful development solutions
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire highly motivated individuals who demonstrate intelligence, excellence, and sound judgment in their previous endeavors. In addition to exceptionally strong organizational skills, the successful candidate should have:
- 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent, or a related field; experience in financial services or professional services strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and scale leadership development programs in a global environment
- Strong program and project management capabilities, with a track record of driving initiatives from concept through execution
- Ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and hands‑on executor
- Proven success, building credibility and influencing senior stakeholders across functions and regions
- Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills; able to engage audiences at all levels
- Strong coaching and listening skills, with sound judgment and professionalism
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation, global organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver results with urgency
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
