Industrial Designer Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Our hardware team in Mundhwa, Pune covers industrial design, mechanical engineering and manufacturing under one roof. We are India's only domestic full-stack XR manufacturer, with 50,000+ devices shipped across 17+ countries.

We are looking for an Industrial Designer to define how our products look and how they feel to wear. The role covers the design of the product form, comfort and fit, the selection of colours, materials and finishes, and the release of finished 3D surfaces to the engineering team for development.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Mundhwa, Pune for someone with 3 to 6 years of experience on products that reached production.
Develop the product form from initial sketches through to finished 3D surfaces
Create smooth, high quality outer surfaces in Creo and release these files to the engineering team
Produce 3D printed models and mock-ups to evaluate how the design looks and feels in use
Support packaging design and product graphics as required
Take part in design reviews with engineering and manufacturing, and revise the design to meet production and cost requirements
Maintain design files and documentation for the areas under your ownership




A degree in industrial design, product design or a related discipline
~3 to 6 years of industrial design experience on products that reached production
~ Strong working knowledge of Creo, including surface and shape modelling. Creo is our design platform and proficiency in it is essential
~ The ability to produce clean 3D surfaces suitable for engineering development
~ Strong sketching ability and hands-on physical model making skills
~ A working understanding of plastic moulding and how it constrains form, including wall thickness, draft angles and split lines
~ Experience specifying colours, materials and finishes and approving them with suppliers

~ A portfolio demonstrating design development, not only finished visuals

Experience with eyewear, watches, headphones or other products worn on the body
Experience with AR or VR products
Experience conducting fit or body measurement studies
Rendering and visualisation capability

Experience with Rhino or Alias
