We are seeking a Finance Planning Manager to modernize and scale FP&A; capabilities for our Global Capability Center in Mumbai. The leader will be involved in financial reporting activities, including management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate moves fluidly between hands on data work, system design, and executive level storytelling—while coaching a small team to deliver consistent, automation first results. The role will work closely with FP&A; team based out of US.

Essential Duties

• Own the FP&A; management reporting agenda—connect weekly/monthly performance to plan/forecast, highlight drivers, and recommend actions; develop, maintain and review management reports
• Automate monthly management reporting with governed datasets and dashboards; reduce manual slide build time while maintaining auditability and data lineage.
• Lead automation and continuous improvement of reporting in the GCC (e.g., revenue, Opex, headcount, FX/price lists), including drill downs, driver trees, and variance bridges.
• Ensure data quality, reconciliations to the GL, and documentation of definitions, transformations, and controls.
• Partner with Accounting, HR, and Operations to align calendars (close, forecast, labor cycles) and standardize data handoffs.
• Supervise, develop and upskill finance analysts/staff involved in planning and reporting, review output quality, and build an automation first culture.
• Model concise, influential communication and coach the team to turn analysis into decisions and action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Science, IT or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in finance operations, analytics, accounting, MIS reporting, including 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
• Understanding of accounting and financial statement consolidation with experience in managing or reviewing financial MIS reports.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis, processing and reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Workday) and strong Excel/Power BI and reporting tool proficiency.
• Experience with financial close processes, consolidation concepts, and management reporting best practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience preferred (not mandatory).
