Job Description: An Accounts Assistant in the ferro alloys manufacturing industry supports the finance team by managing day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and statutory compliance (like GST and TDS). This hands-on role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of daily production costs and financial records. [1, 2, 3, 4] Key Responsibilities

- Bookkeeping & Ledger Management: Record daily financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and ensure compliance with standard accounting practices. [1, 2]
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Track raw materials (manganese ore, chrome ore, quartz), work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Monitor power and consumable costs specific to furnace operations. [1]
- Billing & Reconciliations: Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, generate e-way bills, and perform routine bank and vendor reconciliations. [1, 2]
- Statutory Compliance: Prepare and verify data for GST, TDS, TCS, and PF filings. [1, 2]
- Audit Support:



Maintain organized financial documents to assist internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits. [1, 2, 3]
- MIS Reporting: Assist senior accounts staff in preparing basic cost-sheets, daily cash flows, and monthly reports for management. [1]

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: B.Com or M.Com is highly preferred; MBA in Finance or CA-Inter/CMA-Inter is an added advantage.
- Experience: Typically 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or metallurgical environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime, SAP, or equivalent ERP software. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
- Soft Skills: High accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and positive communication skills.
