Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our manufacturing company. The accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in the manufacturing industry, and a valuable understanding of cost accounting. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: o Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. o Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Cost Accounting: o Manage and track product costing, inventory valuation, and overhead allocations. o Analyse production costs and variances and assist in pricing decisions. General Ledger Management: o Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
o Post and review journal entries and manage reconciliations. Budgeting and Forecasting: o Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. o Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances. Taxation and Compliance: o Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including GST, VAT, and other applicable taxes. o Prepare and file tax returns, coordinate with external auditors, and manage regulatory audits. Accounts Payable & Receivable: o Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. o Manage cash flow, payment processing, and collections. Internal Controls & Process Improvement: o Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. o Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to optimize financial operations.
