The role entails leveraging a thorough understanding of the processes to provide analytical insights for business. Role bearer is responsible for ensuring adherence to Regulatory and Risk Policies for the business unit. The role bearer has the responsibility to conduct and monitor risk assessment and working in collaboration with the internal stakeholders to build the risk awareness within the business units.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to Regulatory and Risk Policies for the business unit
* Lead Risk Assessment which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the operational risks affecting the business
* Communicate with transparency on issues and gaps identified through escalation process for remediation
* Gain a thorough understanding of the work and processes performed within the department
* Provide examination,
audit and review support
* Actively participates in control calibration sessions
* Conduct and monitor risk assessment, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the operational risks affecting the business
* Conduct risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization
* Define Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the identified operational risks in collaboration with various stakeholder’s/ process owners
* Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the business units
* Provide analytical and functional support for any risk related issues within the business unit
* Gather updates in regulations to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and statutory requirements
