Position: Laboratory Assistant / Instructor - Chemistry, Chanakya University.

Qualification: M.Sc & BE/B.Tech

Summary The Lab Instructor supports the teaching and learning processes by assisting faculty in conducting laboratory sessions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth execution of practical classes.

Responsibilities:
Assist faculty members in planning and conducting laboratory sessions for undergraduate engineering courses.
Prepare laboratory setups, materials, and equipment prior to each practical session.
Guide students in performing experiments and using instruments safely and effectively.
Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and storage of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Maintain inventory of lab materials, consumables, and tools; initiate requests for replenishment as needed.
Support in developing lab manuals, experiment documentation, and demonstration materials.
Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and assist in implementing laboratory safety measures.
Help in the installation and testing of current lab equipment.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and readiness of the laboratory at all times.




Assist in departmental activities such as workshops, project demonstrations, and exhibitions.
Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the concerned faculty or department head.

Qualifications Required:
M.Sc or B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline.
Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience may apply.
Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, tools, and instruments related to the assigned department.

Skills Required:
Technical aptitude and interest in hands-on experimentation.
Positive communication and interpersonal skills to guide students effectively.
Ability to handle instruments carefully and follow safety guidelines.
Basic computer proficiency for lab record keeping and reporting.
Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and laboratory practices.
