Role Description The Interior Drafter will create detailed technical drawings and layouts for interior projects, translating design concepts into accurate plans, sections, and elevations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing CAD drawings, updating documentation based on design revisions, coordinating with designers, project managers, and site teams, and ensuring drawings comply with project standards and local regulations. The role involves reviewing measurements, integrating materials and fixtures into drawings, and supporting the preparation of shop drawings for manufacturing and installation. This is a full time,



in office role based in Chennai, requiring regular collaboration with the design office and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD and related drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and ability to produce detailed 2D/3D interior drawings.
Robust understanding of interior layout planning, joinery details, and fit-out construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate them into interior-specific details.
Good knowledge of materials, finishes, fixtures, and industry standards relevant to commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality interiors.
Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong documentation skills for drawing revisions and version control.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, engineers, project managers, and site supervisors.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in interior fit-out drafting is preferred.
