Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Database Engineer (DBE) to manage and optimize our database infrastructure across relational, NoSQL, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, IaC Automation and monitoring tools, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain relational databases including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
Manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis (In-Memory).
Support and optimize distributed databases, particularly Google Spanner.
Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions on GCP or other cloud platforms.
Monitor database performance using tools like Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, and cloud provider metrics.
Utilize MongoDB Ops Manager for operational management and automation.
Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place and effective.




Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Proven experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but any cloud experience is acceptable).
Solid understanding of database architecture, backup management, and database/query optimization.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools, monitoring tools and cloud metrics.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Spanner.
Knowledge of MongoDB Ops Manager.
Exposure to Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, or similar monitoring tools.
Ability to work in a distributed and rapid-paced workplace.
