Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure timely analysis of cane, juice, syrup, sugar, molasses, bagasse, and water samples.

Monitor critical quality parameters such as Brix, Pol, Purity, Moisture, pH, and Colour.

Prepare and review daily sugar recovery calculations and factory performance reports.

Analyse process losses and coordinate with production teams to improve recovery and product quality.

Ensure accuracy of test results and maintain laboratory records, reports, and documentation.

Supervise laboratory chemists and technicians, including training and work allocation.

Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of laboratory instruments.

Maintain compliance with FSSAI, statutory & Customer requirements.

Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and ensure closure of audit observations.

Implement safety practices, Positive Laboratory Practices (GLP), and continuous improvement initiatives in the laboratory.

Proficient in SAP & MS Excel for data analysis, report preparation, trend monitoring, and sugar recovery calculations.
