Position: Design Engineer – OFC / CATV / OPGW Cable Design Department: Engineering & Product Development Location: Khordha, Odisha (Preferred) Experience: 2–5 Years Industry :Optical Fibre Cable Manufacturing Reporting To Head – Engineering & Product Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical/ECE/Mechanical or equivalent. Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered. Key Responsibilities
Design OFC, CATV and OPGW cable constructions.
Prepare drawings, BOMs and technical datasheets.
Calculate dimensions, tensile strength and material requirements.
Use CAD for cable cross-sections.
Ensure compliance with IEC, ITU-T, BIS, BSNL, Railway and Utility standards.
Support production trials, testing, tendering and product improvement.
Coordinate with Procurement and resolve technical issues. Technical Skills OFC, CATV, OPGW, Loose Tube, Tight Buffer, ADSS basics, Armoured/Unarmoured cables, FRP selection, BOM,



AutoCAD/DraftSight/SolidWorks, MS Excel. Key Competencies Engineering Design, Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Documentation, Communication and Continuous Improvement. Responsibilities in Product Development Develop recent designs, optimize products, evaluate raw materials, support prototypes, coordinate NABL testing and prepare technical approvals.
