Development Engineer (m/f/d) Interiors. Exteriors and Chassis

Technical development cost management builds the bridge between Development and Purchasing. We translate technical concepts and engineering effort into robust target costs.

You will work across a broad portfolio of Interior, Exterior and Chassis Parts, with a strong focus on future-facing topics such as autonomous driving and MBUX.

Your responsibilities
Estimate development effort for outsourced scopes using appropriate methods and estimation techniques.
Define cost targets for Purchasing for externally sourced deliverables and supplier work packages.
Lead the technical argumentation in supplier negotiations to achieve the best price point,



partnering closely with Purchasing and engineering stakeholders.
Help shape and continuously improve calculation and remuneration models in a highly cross-functional setting.

This role gives you real ownership to shape the topic and make an impact. You will gain a broad, end-to-end view of the company.

What you bring
Degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering or a comparable field
Several years of hands-on experience in components Purchase , Costing or development
Experience working in agile environments (e.g., Scrum)
Nice to have: Atlassian Jira, Kanban pr other similar applications
Confidence and professionalism when working with suppliers
Business-fluent German and English
Self-driven, structured working style and a robust team mindset
