Educational Qualification
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience
13 Years of experience in Design Engineering.
Required Software Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D drafting, 3D modeling, assembly, sheet metal, routing).
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for layouts and drafting.
Familiarity with MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
Required Skills
Robust knowledge of plant design, equipment layout, and piping design.
Ability to prepare detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing drawings.
Basic engineering calculations and formulas.
Unit conversions (SI, Metric, and Imperial units).
Understanding of material selection and fabrication processes.
Knowledge of industry design standards and practices.
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
Positive communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
Ability to support project execution within timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare 2D & 3D models for equipment, piping layouts, and plant layouts.
Develop detailed drawings, manufacturing documents, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Design electrical panels using sheet metal functionality in SolidWorks.
Collaborate with process engineers, fabricators, and site teams for smooth execution.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and timelines.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Participate in design reviews and client/vendor coordination.
