Role & responsibilities
Schematic Capture & Layout: Convert circuit schematics into PCB layouts using CAD tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics).
Footprint Creation: Develop schematic symbols and footprints for recent components.
Basic Design Checks: Perform DRC (Design Rule Check), ERC (Electrical Rule Check).
Prototype Support: Assist in prototype builds, testing, and debugging.
Documentation: Prepare Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.
Collaboration: Work with senior engineers and mechanical teams to ensure manufacturability
Signal & Power Integrity: Apply SI/PI analysis for high-speed designs (DDR, differential pairs, impedance control).
Design Optimization: Reduce EMI/EMC issues, thermal hotspots, and improve reliability.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet IPC, UL, CE,
and safety standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
Ownership of Projects: Lead small-to-medium PCB design projects independently.
Advanced Documentation: Manage revision control, fabrication/assembly drawings, and test reports
Preferred candidate profile
Knowledge of stack-up design, impedance control, differential pair routing, and DDR simulation.
Familiarity with fabrication processes, Gerber generation, and DFM/DFT guidelines.
Understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal management, and reliability practices.
