Responsibilities:

Develop structural designs and calculations for residential buildings, including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartment complexes.

Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing conditions, soil properties, and other factors influencing structural design.

Utilize structural analysis software and tools to perform load calculations, stability analyses, and design optimizations.

Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and reports detailing structural solutions and recommendations.

Collaborate with architects and other design specialists to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building plans.

Review and interpret building codes, zoning ordinances,



and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance throughout the design process.

Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the building phase, addressing any structural concerns or modifications as needed.

Perform structural inspections of residential buildings to assess their condition, identify deficiencies, and recommend appropriate repair or reinforcement measures.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in residential structural engineering.

Participate in project meetings, presentations, and client interactions to communicate project progress, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.
