Role & responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies across the hospital.
Conduct surveillance of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) and prepare regular infection control reports.
Perform infection control audits and ensure compliance with NABH and statutory guidelines.
Monitor hand hygiene practices, PPE compliance, sterilization, disinfection, and biomedical waste management.
Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct orientation and regular training programmes for clinical and non-clinical staff on infection prevention practices.
Coordinate with microbiology, nursing, housekeeping, CSSD, and other departments to strengthen infection control measures.
Maintain infection control documentation, audit records, and quality indicators.
Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Preferred candidate profile
B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid Nursing Council Registration.
Minimum 25 years of hospital experience, preferably in Infection Control, ICU, OT, or Quality.
Certification or formal training in Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) will be an added advantage.
Valuable knowledge of NABH standards, biomedical waste management, HAI surveillance, and infection control protocols.
Solid communication, analytical, documentation, and training skills
