Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Production Support Analyst to provide L2/L3 support for critical business applications running on Mainframe systems. The role involves monitoring production environments, incident management, batch job support, and ensuring high system availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for Mainframe applications (L2/L3)
Monitor production systems and batch jobs to ensure timely completion
Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
Handle job abends, file failures, performance issues, and system alerts
Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams
Perform restart/recovery procedures for failed jobs
Support change management, releases, and deployments




Respond to incidents and service requests as per SLA
Prepare and maintain production support documentation and SOPs
Participate in oncall support and weekend support rotations
Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications
310 years of experience in Mainframe Production Support
Solid handson experience with:
COBOL, JCL
VSAM
CICS
DB2
Experience with Batch Processing
Good knowledge of Mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.)
Experience using Job Scheduling tools (ControlM / CA7 / TWS)
Familiarity with incident and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills
Valuable communication and stakeholdermanagement skills
