Key Responsibilities
Supervise the daily operations of the linen room and laundry services.
Ensure timely collection, sorting, washing, ironing, folding, and distribution of hospital linen.
Maintain adequate stock levels of bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, gowns, towels, OT linen, and other hospital textiles.
Monitor linen inventory and conduct periodic stock verification.
Coordinate with housekeeping, nursing, OT, ICU, wards, and other departments to meet linen requirements.
Inspect linen quality and identify damaged or worn-out items for repair or replacement.
Maintain records of linen issuance, returns, losses, and condemnation.
Ensure compliance with hospital infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines during linen handling.
Supervise and train laundry and linen attendants on standard operating procedures (SOPs).




Ensure proper segregation and handling of soiled and infected linen.
Monitor the performance of outsourced laundry vendors, if applicable.
Ensure proper maintenance and secure operation of laundry equipment.
Implement measures to minimize linen loss and improve operational efficiency.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on linen usage, inventory, and operational activities.
Follow hospital safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospital Administration, or any graduate degree.
Certification in Housekeeping or Laundry Management is an added advantage.
