Role & responsibilities
Prepare hydraulic design for irrigation canals, pipelines, pumping systems, and water distribution networks.
Design and review canal sections, cross drainage works (CD works), head regulators, aqueducts, siphons, and outlets.
Perform hydraulic calculations for discharge capacity, velocity, water levels, and energy losses.
Develop design drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and other design software.
Carry out hydrology and hydraulic analysis for irrigation and water resource projects.
Coordinate with structural design team and site engineers for project execution.
Prepare technical reports, design notes, BOQ, and engineering documentation.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Review contractor drawings and provide technical support during construction.
Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and project planning.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience in major irrigation projects, dams, barrages, lift irrigation schemes, or canal networks.
