Role & responsibilities
A Business Development Manager the goal is to identify recent project prospects, build strategic partnerships, and position the firm as a thought leader in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to enter recent sectors (e.g., healthcare, luxury residential, or sustainable commercial).
Lead Generation & Networking:
Identify and pursue new project leads through active networking with developers, government agencies, and real estate stakeholders.
Proposal Management (RFP / RFQ):
Lead the preparation of high-stakes proposals,
coordinating with the design team to ensure the pitch aligns with the firms aesthetic and the clients requirements.
Relationship Management:
Maintain a CRM of past and potential clients, ensuring the firm remains top-of-mind for future phases of projects.
Market Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, competitor wins, and shifts in urban planning policies to advise the Principals on future investments.
Required Skills
Industry Knowledge:
Minimum 5+ years of experience within the AEC industry.
Communication:
Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
