Job Description: Sales Engineer South (Instruments/Gauges)

Location: Chennai (with frequent travel to South region)

Role Summary

We are seeking a results-driven and technically solid Sales Engineer to drive OEM and End User business for Instruments/Gauges in the Southern region. The role focuses on business development, customer engagement, and techno-commercial execution to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Drive OEM and End User sales to achieve regional revenue targets
Identify and develop new customers and applications
Build a robust project pipeline and convert prospects into orders Expand market share through focused territory coverage
Techno-Commercial Execution
Prepare and submit accurate technical and commercial proposals
Support product selection, application engineering, and value selling Lead technical discussions, trials, and product approvals with customers Coordinate with internal teams and branches for order closure




Customer Engagement
Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers Position product advantages and differentiate from competition
Resolve customer queries and provide application-based solutions
Planning & Performance
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Maintain sales forecasts and track pipeline conversion
Monitor competition and identify growth opportunities

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of process instrumentation / gauges
Techno-commercial acumen with solution-selling approach Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to handle customer discussions independently
Analytical mindset with focus on results and growth

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation / Mechanical preferred).
4+ years of experience in sales of process instruments/gauges.
Proven track record in OEM and/or End User sales.
