Role & responsibilities
Sustaining Engineering: Support existing product lines by troubleshooting design issues, improving product reliability, and implementing cost-reduction engineering updates.
Product Development: end-to-end design and development lifecycle for industrial products.
Mechanical Design: Apply solid mechanical design fundamentals and machine design principles to creations.
CAD Modeling: Create robust 3D models and detailed 2D engineering drawings using CATIA and Creo.
Analytical Engineering: Perform rigorous design calculations, tolerance stackup analysis, and DFMEA documentation.
Engineering Changes: Manage product lifecycles and continuous improvements through standard ECN and ECO processes.
Prototyping & Testing:
Lead prototype development and execute physical testing to validate recent designs and sustaining modifications.
Manufacturing Optimization: Implement DFX principles to ensure designs are optimized for assembly, serviceability, and cost.
Preferred candidate profile
Software Proficiency: High expertise in Creo for 3D modeling and drafting.
Technical Drafting: Advanced proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
Materials Science: Deep knowledge of engineering materials, selection criteria, and manufacturing processes.
Design Validation: Solid capability in identifying failure modes using DFMEA
Simulation: Hands-on knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
