Role & responsibilities

The Assistant Manager Purchase & Procurement will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for residential construction projects. The role includes vendor management, sourcing construction materials, cost optimization, inventory coordination, purchase order management, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Key Responsibilities
Handle procurement of Civil, plumbing, finishing, and interior materials.
Source and evaluate vendors/suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and procurement documentation.
Coordinate with site engineers, project teams, QS, and stores for material planning.
Track inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.




Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving prospects.
Conduct vendor performance evaluation and maintain supplier relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain procurement MIS reports, vendor databases, and reconciliation records.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and commercial procedures.

Robust knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
Vendor development and negotiation skills.
Cost analysis and budgeting capability.
Knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, and inventory management.
Robust coordination, communication, and analytical skills.
