Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated NICU Nurse to join our neonatal care team at our Gandhipuram hospital. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns while supporting families throughout their baby's NICU stay. The role requires clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. CCleveland Clinic+1
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates.
Monitor and record vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, and other clinical parameters.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition as prescribed by the neonatologist.
Operate and monitor NICU equipment including incubators, CPAP, ventilators, infusion pumps, and phototherapy units.
Assist with neonatal procedures and emergency resuscitation when required.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety at all times.
Educate and support parents regarding newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous nursing education. CCleveland Clinic+1
Qualifications
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid State Nursing Council Registration.
Certification in BLS and NRP (preferred).
NICU experience is preferred; freshers with strong clinical skills may also apply based on organizational requirements.
Experience
0–5 years of experience in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric Nursing.
Prior experience in a multispecialty or tertiary care hospital is an added advantage.
Required Skills
Solid neonatal assessment and critical care skills.
Knowledge of NICU protocols and infection control practices.
Ability to respond quickly during neonatal emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Ability to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
