It is the responsibility of the Video Editor & Composer to review all the footage and create the best output by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effects and graphics and fine-tuning the completed video or film.
Roles & Responsibilities-
-Manipulating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
-Taking a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
-Reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
-Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
-Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
-Create rough and final cuts
Requirements-
Proven experience as a video editor or similar role
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or After effects.
Solid understanding of video editing techniques and audio editing
Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects software is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
