Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
Prepare 2D drawings, GD T, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Perform design calculations and basic CAE/FEA analysis where required.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams for DFM/DFA and production feasibility.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, industrial design, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality norms, and safety regulations.
Handle design changes, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and documentation control.
Assist in cost optimization and material selection.
Preferred Skills (Valuable to Have):
Experience in consumer products / industrial equipment / automotive / electronics enclosures.
Exposure to prototype development and vendor coordination.
Knowledge of PLM tools.
Understanding of ISO / ASME standards.

Qualifications
Required Skills Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
3–4 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
Proficiency in 3D CAD 2D drafting.
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal, Machining, Die Casting, etc.).
Solid understanding of GD T, tolerances, and fits.
Experience with materials selection (plastics, metals).
Basic knowledge of FEA/Simulation is an advantage.
Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
