A UPS Service Engineer installs, maintains, and repairs Uninterruptible Power Supply systems to prevent critical equipment downtime. They troubleshoot electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance on batteries and hardware, and commission new units. This hands-on field role requires electrical expertise and robust problem-solving skills. [1, 2, 3, 4]Core Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning: Set up current UPS units, battery banks, and power distribution units at client sites in accordance with manufacturer specifications. [1, 2]
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine checks, calibrations, and diagnostics on AC/DC systems, capacitors, and Li-ion or Lead-Acid batteries. [1, 2]
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex technical faults and rapidly repair or replace defective components to minimize equipment downtime. [1]
Emergency Support: Travel to customer sites to attend to critical system failures and unexpected breakdown calls. [1, 2]
Customer Support:
Train clients on proper UPS operation, address technical inquiries, and advise on necessary hardware upgrades. [1, 2]
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering fields. [1, 2]
Experience: Typically 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in servicing power backup equipment and batteries. [1, 2, 3]
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of three-phase systems, battery management, and proficiency using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, clamp meters). [1, 2]
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, robust verbal communication, and a readiness to commute or travel as needed for on-site work. [1, 2, 3]
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
