Mechanical Design Engineer – Solar

Job Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical structures for Solar PV projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
Prepare module mounting structure (MMS), structural layouts, fabrication drawings, and detailed engineering drawings.
Perform structural calculations for wind load, dead load, seismic load, and other project-specific requirements.
Develop and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM, and material specifications.
Select suitable materials, sections, fasteners, and structural components for solar mounting systems.
Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Procurement, Project Execution, and Vendors for project requirements.
Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications.
Conduct design optimization to reduce material consumption and project cost while maintaining structural strength.
Support the project and site teams during installation, fabrication, and commissioning.




Identify and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards and project specifications.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Solar PV Mounting Structures and Mechanical Design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks/STAAD.Pro will be an advantage.
Good understanding of structural analysis, fabrication, welding, fasteners, and material selection.
Knowledge of MMS design, tracker structures, rooftop structures, and ground-mounted solar systems preferred.
Robust problem-solving and technical coordination skills.

Key Requirements
3–6 years of relevant experience in Mechanical/Structural Design.
Solar industry experience preferred.
Experience in Solar EPC projects and Module Mounting Structures (MMS) will be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple project teams.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
