Summary:
The ESRI Desktop Developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust desktop and web-based GIS applications using the ESRI ArcGIS platform. This position requires a solid blend of technical expertise in GIS technologies and up-to-date web development practices. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver interactive, scalable, and user-centric applications that support enterprise-level geospatial workflows. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain desktop and web GIS applications using ESRI’s ArcGIS platform and ArcGIS API for JavaScript
Develop and implement responsive, intuitive user interfaces that enhance end-user experience
Integrate GIS data and services into applications to ensure seamless functionality and optimal performance
Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers,



and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions
Conduct comprehensive testing, debugging, and performance optimization of applications
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and system manuals
Provide support for AMS systems with demonstrated experience in ESRI web development settings

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, or a related field
3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in web application development with a focus on ESRI ArcGIS technologies
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ESRI’s ArcGIS API for JavaScript
Mandatory experience with Python scripting for GIS automation and tool development
Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Angular, or Vue
Proven track record in integrating GIS services and data into web applications
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
