Job Description: Key responsibilities may include:
Design and Engineering:
Leading the design and engineering of recent electrical systems or upgrades to existing ones, including equipment selection, power calculations, and system layout.
Reviewing electrical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Overseeing the procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
Maintenance and Operations:
Managing the day-to-day operation of electrical systems, monitoring performance parameters, and identifying potential issues.
Leading troubleshooting efforts for electrical equipment failures, coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve complex problems.
Implementing preventative maintenance plans for electrical systems to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.
Technical Leadership:
Mentoring and coaching junior electrical engineers on technical aspects of power plant operations.
Providing technical expertise to other departments within the plant, including mechanical and control systems.




Staying updated on industry trends and recent technologies in power generation and electrical engineering.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensuring adherence to all electrical safety regulations and procedures within the plant
Performing safety inspections and addressing safety concerns related to electrical systems
Implementing and maintaining electrical documentation and reporting systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Extensive experience in power plant operations and electrical systems design
Robust understanding of electrical power generation principles, including AC/DC circuits, transformers, generators, and power distribution systems
Proficiency in electrical design software and analysis tools
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Leadership abilities to manage teams and projects effectively
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
