Job Summary:

Responsible for setting up and operating lathe machines to machine metal components with high accuracy while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. (Digital Government of India)

Key Responsibilities:
Operate conventional and/or CNC lathe machines.
Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, grooving, and taper turning operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Set up workpieces, cutting tools, chucks, and fixtures.
Select appropriate cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling.
Measure finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision instruments.




Inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Follow workplace safety procedures and quality guidelines.
