Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager Material will be responsible for the overall management of the Raw Material Yard and Finished Goods operations, ensuring timely availability of materials, inventory accuracy, productive warehouse management, tower-wise bundling, and timely dispatch to support production and customer requirements.

(Experience in Materials Management, with significant leadership exposure in the Transmission Line Tower, Heavy Fabrication, or Engineering Manufacturing industry)

Key Responsibilities
Manage the receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of raw materials.
Oversee raw material planning, indent preparation, and coordination with Production Planning and Rolling Mill teams to ensure timely material availability.
Optimize raw material utilization by minimizing wastage and effectively utilizing excess stock, cut lengths, and returned materials.
Ensure inventory accuracy through ERP/SAP systems and periodic physical stock verification.




Oversee finished goods storage, tower-wise bundling, packing, and dispatch operations.
Ensure accurate tower-wise bundling, tagging, identification, and traceability of materials prior to dispatch.
Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, QA/QC, and Logistics teams for smooth material flow and operations.
Monitor warehouse and yard operations, material handling activities, and optimum space utilization.
Ensure adherence to FIFO practices, material traceability, and proper documentation.
Lead, guide, and develop the Raw Material Yard, Stores, and Finished Goods teams.
Maintain safety standards, housekeeping (5S), PPE compliance, and EHS requirements.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company procedures, statutory regulations, and customer specifications.
