Role & responsibilities
Conduct trend research and forecast analysis to conceptualize original rug/carpet artworks and collections.
Develop designs and artworks using CAD/software with a solid understanding of color, texture, and construction.
Manage the complete design process from concept development and color selection to construction finalization and approved product execution.
Coordinate with buyers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and timely execution of developments.
Review samples, approvals, and development progress, while suggesting alternative techniques or constructions to achieve the desired design outcome.
Ensure all design projects are completed within timelines and meet quality expectations.
Apply sound knowledge of yarns, fabrics, textures,



and carpet construction techniques in product development.
Support showroom setups and seasonal presentations as per buyer aesthetics and collection direction.

Preferred candidate profile
Prior experience in the carpet industry is essential.
Robust knowledge of carpet design, yarns, textures, constructions, and product development.
Proficiency in CAD / design software for artwork and product development.
Valuable communication and coordination skills to work with buyers and cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle multiple developments and work within deadlines.
NIFT / NID graduates preferred.
