Job Title: Department Head Sheet Metal
Department: Production
Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Summary

Responsible for leading end-to-end sheet metal manufacturing operations, ensuring achievement of production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and productivity targets through effective planning, resource utilization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage sheet metal production operations (Press Shop, Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly).
Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum quality, cost, and delivery.
Plan manpower, machines, and material requirements.
Coordinate with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores for smooth operations.
Monitor productivity, OEE, rejection, downtime, and implement corrective actions.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.




Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
Develop and mentor department teams to improve performance and productivity.
Prepare production reports, analyze KPIs, and support business objectives.

Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
12–18 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
